About me

I grew up in India, studied Computer Science, and spent six years doing UI, community-building, and self-initiated design before moving to London in 2025.

I'm currently at UAL Creative Computing Institute finishing an MSc in Computing for Creative Industries where the practice turned toward interactive installation, physical computing, and games that pay attention to the people playing them.

HRSHLABS is the working name I use for that practice. I make things across formats, installations, games, typefaces, books, and interfaces and the through-line is usually a machine noticing a body.

Process

MY APPROACH

Every project gets my full attention from the first sketch to the install-day fix at 2am.

LISTEN TO THE MATERIAL

Every brief has a shape already in it a physical constraint, a body of research, a room the piece will live in. I spend more time reading rooms and reading people than I do sketching. The best interactive work responds to what's actually there, not what I wish were there.

I'd rather have a rough prototype in someone's hands on week two than a beautiful mockup on week six. Every project I've shipped, Almost Kin, Galaga Embodied, started as a bad version that told me what the good version needed to be. Nothing survives contact with a real audience unchanged

THE SEAM IS THE STORY

My favourite part of any project is where the code meets the hardware, or where the software meets the room. That's where interactive work either sings or breaks. I design toward those seams, the OSC bridge, the capacitive-touch handoff, the moment the servo panel flips, because those are the places a visitor decides whether the piece is for real or just clever.
